Dear Dialog Team,

We made a prototype simple BLE tag based on DA14585. The antenna part is a direct implementation of your DA14580-RD-WLCSP-SMTag2-VC. I attached the schematic pdf of your design file for your reference. We are trying to do FCC/CE certification and are in contact with a certification vendor. Following are the queries he has raised:

1) Can you provide technical details on the antenna used such as gain of the antenna, etc? Also, can you please explain why there is antenna trace on the bottom layer also since generally, PCB antenna trace is only on one layer. Is it for better grounding??

2) Is the reference design certified, since we are using the same antenna part?

3) Can you provide with certification/Test firmware, software & documents necessary for the certification process?

Hello,

We are currently developping a product for a customer based on DA14681 SoC.
Software is designed by an other company.

We would like to know what certifications have to be passed to Bluetooth SIG in the following scenarios:

1) Product will be sold without mention of Bluetooth logo or name => No Bluetooth certification needed ?
2) Product will be sold with mention of Bluetooth logo and/or name:
2.a) The product should be declared to Bluetooth SIG, right ?
2.b) As we are using DA14681 SoC which is already qualified (but in a custom product), not following the ref design for the Antenna (everything else follows the ref design), do we have to pass the qualification ? Or using the DA14681 allows us not to have to pass the qualification with Bluetooth SIG ?
2.c) If we design a new product following completely the ref design (including the Antenna), do we need to pass the qualification with Bluetooth SIG ?

Is there any solution to have not certificate bluetooth chip da14583 in our design?
I have read some articles which talks about bluetooth modules which does not need new certification.
So my question is if exist some pre-certified bluetooth module with da14583.

So far we have an externall chip antenna but what i know this design will have to be certified.
