SPS Demo app issue. Code xmits only 1 in 4 times

Hi everyone,
So I've been playing with the demo code for the SPS and I'm finding that when I TX characters to the android app, only the 1 in 4 arrive on the android screen. But in the opposite direction, they arrive on the terminal screen just fine (With the SPS profile configured for XON/XOFF operation). Does anyone know what to do about that?
