We are evaluating the DA14580 and have a few questions, regarding schematics and software development. In our own PCB design we have a Micro-Controller which likes to talk to the DA14580 over SPI (in the highest-level protocol available). Beside the crystal we do not like to use any other external components for the DA14580 (e.g. no external SPI flash, no JLink, ...).
- The protocol GTL is in the document UM-B-015_DA14580_581/UM-B-017 mentioned. In which document are all commands of the GTL protocol described in detail (not just the message format)?
- Can we use this GTL protocol over SPI?
- Can we program the OTP (and do further tests) over SPI and avoid UART/SWD at all (e.g. uploading a first application per SPI)?

Unfortunately I still do not know if it possible to reprogram a DA14580 from the factory just with SPI. According to UM-B-013 it is possible to write a software with SPI_BOOTER functionality, but is it possible to upload another program with SPI, if the DA14580 is NOT yet programmed?
The other two questions (see question above) are still unanswered for us:
