I2C Slave

Hi,
I am trying to use Max44009 Ambient light sensor along with the PAN1740 module. Any valid address that i read with the help of I2C drivers is zero. Even when i have not written any values to any registers and default reset values are not zero still the register reads to be zero. Can you tell me any specific reason this might happen.

Obviously the readinds are wrong, can you check the communication between the sensor and the da, meaning are you able to check with an osciloscope and check that the da outputs a clock signal and the corresponding data? And if there is communication, if the data on the I2C bus that return from sensor are always zero its probably a sensor issue.
