Hello. Thanks for the recent release of the DA14531 Preview Module kits.
We received our 2 new module based kits yesterday and wish to test out the CODELESS support on this module. So far unable to locate the CODELESS SDK referenced in the documentation.
http://lpccs-docs.dialog-semiconductor.com/UM-140-DA145x-CodeLess/howToUse.html
webpage notes we should reflash the module with one of the following firmwares (BTW - the online blinky worked fine to flash the local LED @ D5):
- CodeLess for DA14531 datapump (codeless_531_datapump.hex)
- CodeLess for DA14531 standalone (codeless_531_standalone.hex)
- CodeLess for DA14531 standalone SET TWO (codeless_531_standalone_set_two.hex
The downloaded DA14585_DA14531_CODELESS_v_6.380.9.10 does not offer the above pre-compiled .hex files.
Do we need to compile them with the Keil compiler or they can be downloaded from Dialog?
The same download does offer fw_1.hex and fw_2.hex files - are they related to the above?
Will keep searching - most likely have too many open webpages and missing the obvious.
Also, when are the modules (only) expected to be available in distribution? Did not see them on Digikey / Avnet.
Thanks.
The pre-compiled (CODELESS) .hex files do appear to be missing from the downloaded SDK for the DA14531 / 585 use. Need the Keil compiler to compile from source.
Was unable to build the 586 firmware but not required for our project -Update: Dialog noted this firmware will not build at this time.
Attaching the compiled firmware here for others to use.Update: Reposted with the current CMSIS service pack update.
Not sure at this time on how to build the 3rd version of the CODELESS firmware (codeless_531_standalone_set_two。hex).
Welcome the feedback on how to build thecodeless_531_standalone_set_two。十六进制的固件.
List of pre-compiled binaries provided with the SDK are:
Hi mom2,
Thanks for your question online and glad that you are using the TINY Module.
We are correct - the binaries are not provided, so you should use the Keil IDE and compile the project. In the meanwhile thanks for the attachments. The Keil project is under DA14585_DA14531_CODELESS\v_6.380.9.10\projects\target_apps\codeless\codeless_5xx\Keil_5 path.
Your feedback would be more than welcome!

I’ll ask internally and get back to you.
