Basic dev kit USB serial driver issue

Sun, 2016-01-31 09:09--enormous

Hi,

We've purchased the DA14581 basic dev kit and are trying to test the very first "Blinky" project. The LED did blink, but there is no printouts on the Tera Term (meaning the UART is not set correctly). In PC's Device manager, the following new devices are listed when I plugged in the dev kit:

Under Ports(COM & LPT):
J-Link CDC UART Port (COM3)
Under USB controller:
J-Link driver
USB composite device

Development Hardware requirements

Hi,

We are going to developing some applications on DA14581 chip. I've gone through several documents and based on my understanding, the following devices are required in the debugging and programming process:

1. J-Link debugger for programming through SW(JTAG) interface
2. FT2232HL chip for USB to UART conversion
3. 6.8V power supply for programming the OTP after the design is finalized

Could you let us know if these are the minimum requirements? Do we need to have some other devices or can we remove some of the above items?

Thanks,
Hanfeng

Disable Buck converter

Fri, 2016-01-29 06:47--enormous

This is a follow-up question on my previous thread:http://support.dialog-semiconductor.com/disable-buck-converter

To skip the buck, one option from the above thread is as follows:

-SWITCH is connected to VDCDC by means of a 1K to 10K resistor, Vbat1V is grounded: 0V
-VBAT3V = VBAT3V_RF = VDCDC = VDCDC_RF = 3.3V max

However, we found the following spec in the data sheet Table 281:

Boot sequence and current consumption

Wed, 2015-11-04 22:15--Daniel.Landherr

I am currently trying to evaluate the coulombs consumed by the boot sequence of the DA14581 (using Murata module). The Application Note AN-B-011 was very helpful looking at the timing and current states for the startup sequence. The measurements I have done using the module show a faster boot sequence which I believe is related to this comment in the DA14581 data sheet "The DA14581 integrated circuit is an optimized version of the DA14580, offering a reduced boot time".

有更新信息相似吗that of AN-B-011 but for the boot sequence of the DA14581?

No FTDI connection for HCI over UART

Fri, 2015-07-17 00:16--dpulsipher

My goal is to test a host controller stack in single mode and, from what I understand, it is necessary to use FTDI to connect to the device. However, there are no instructions on how to connect FTDI for this purpose. The device is connected by USB to the host PC and the jlink USB device enumerate, but no FTDI device ever enumerates. Is it necessary to connect additional cable for this purpose?

Is there a tool on Windows to test a HCI implementation on DA14581?

Hi,
I am going to implentment a HCI on DA14581, using "DA14581_HCI_Release_v.3.110.2.12.zip".
Then, I want to test the HCI interface, throng UART between my PC and a small DA14581 board.
Bluez is a tool. Is it run on linux only?
Is there a tool on Windows to test a HCI implementation on DA14581? The tool can send HCI command and show receive data.

Thank you .
