External SPI Interface for DA14583

Dear Sir,
Since we want to store some critical data in flash memory apart from the code, we planned to have external SPI memory in DA14583. So is it possible to have External SPI memory for storing some datas not the code( Dont want to boot from Ext SPI ). Please suggest the solution.

Hi Karthikeyan S,

I dont see any problem in doing this, i suppose that you can connect an external flash on the same pins as the internal (you can share the MISO, MOSI, CLK different pin for the CS), there are a number of flash devices supported by dialog, please check the AN-B-023.pdf file. But make sure that the external device doesn't interfiere with the internal flash during the booting sequence.
