Hi I have a Ulink2 debugger and it's connected to my board via SWD pins. But when I try to download or debug the program, I keep getting the error
SWD Communication Failure
Error: Flash Download failed - Target DLL has been cancelled
I get a similar message for the debugger. I am aware that there is no flash built into the DA14580, but I expected it to still run the code while I have power supplied.
Is there somewhere that lists all of the target options I need for the Ulink2? I think maybe I have a setting wrong.
I should note this was a custom made board and that I am using the latest Keil uVision v5.13

In Keil, go to "Options for Target"/"Utilities tab" and select "Use External Tool for Flash Programming". You may have it set to the first option (Use Target... ) and that will not work.
Got it to work. Turns out my adapter was for jlink not ulink2.

We have the exact same setup and we have been using extensively for our development. We are getting to the production phase and we have a good understanding that we will need to use smartsnippets to program OTP. We understand the details of OTP, however, I cannot find info if the ULINK2 could be used to program the OTP? The reason being is that Smartsnippets does not detect my ULINK2 device. Can you confirm that this setup will work? Thanks in advance

We dont use a ULINK2 adapter and we haven't tested burning the OTP with that adapter on smart snippets, so we cant confirm that your setup will work. But i will try to find a ULINK2 and let you know about the results.

No problem. If it's not detected in SmartSnippets, I doubt that it is going to work. Plus, the Murata SP-HNZY-J datasheet only specifies OTP writing via J-Link, the Segger part.

I've since ditched the ULINK2. Any word if the Segger J-Link Lite CortexM will work w/ SmartSnippets or am I still out of luck!??! Initial testing is proving unsuccessful in 'Connecting'.

Sorry, but only the jlink LITE ARM is tested and is compatible with the Smart Snippets tool.
