For our application it is important to provide packet sizes and throughput at the values announced in Bluetooth 4.2 specification. Thus it is interested for us: can DA1580 comply Bluetooth 4.2 requirements and when we can obtain appropriate SDK? Or it can not comply and has principal hardware incompatibility?

We do plan in future to release a new FW version of the DA14580/14581 to support many of the features in 4.2 . As to exact release date, i do not have that information yet.

Will the privacy and security modifications in 4.2 be available through a firmware upgrade? We want to use Dialog DA14580 + benefit from the new security in Bluetooth 4.2.

The plan is still ongoing, i dont have a release date yet but there is a plan to support 4.2 spec on the 580 and the team is working on it.
