Will the coming 14583 be compatible with the Expert Development kit? Would I be able to upgrade daughter boards just by replacing existing 14850?

the 14583 will only be supported with the PRO kit and BASIC kit. If you have a QFN40 daughtercard for the EXPERT, you could always swap the device out since in QFN40, the 14580 is pin for pin wiht 14583.
