Hi,
I have many problem to connect the PAN1740 02/02.
I use either the full_emb.bin or the prox_monitor_ext_usb.bin file to flash the OTP of the DA14580-01.
Booting as peripheral works fine and I can detect the PAN1740 with the Light Blue app from iOS App Store.
But when I will connect I get every time a error message.
I´m using also a PAN1740 01/02 getted from DigiKey and the connection can be established by the first try.
I didn`t find something about hardware version changes of the module. Is this hardware version the version of the DA14580?
Can I also buy the PAN1740 01/02 for production or only the 02/02 version? So I will have a problem.
What are the changes of HW 02 to HW 01?

Which SDK are you using?
There was a random booting timing issue in older SDKs that should be solved in the actual 5.x SDK. This issue has nothing to do with the HW version. By chance some modules behave different then other.
Since mid last year we deliver only HW02 that should be available at most distributors.
Please use the actual SDK then your issue should be solved.

I used the SDK3xx That's the problem.
I will try with SDK5.x. But I don´t understand why I can get this hardware version from DigiKey this year.

great, with SDK5x both versions will work. Also thee is a lot of improvement in the easy of use with new SDK.
Since all HW versions work I think it does not matter why Digikey has HW01 still in stock.

today I got new PAN1740 and I burned the OTP with the SDK5.0.3 prox_reporter_ext.bin file. I used the hex2bin.exe from connection manager to get a bin file from the hex file.
But there are the same problems to connect the device. The connection manager with the dongle from the PAN eval board don´t even find the device.
Any ideas for me?

Hi,
I tried several things to resolve the problem. But nothing works. I replaced a PAN1740 dongle with a new kind of bluetooth module with HW02/ FW02. After this I toke the SDK5.0.3 prox_reporter_ext.bin and the prox_monitor_ext.bin file and Connection Manager to flash the .bin file. Than I tried to boot as peripheral or central and there was no incomming reset event.
我也试过windows应用host_proxm and host_proxr and used the PAN1740 dongle but after successful com port connection nothing happens.
The PAN1740 dongle with HW01 can't find find devices with HW02.
Can anybody help me because if this problem is still alive I can´t continue to work.
