My project needs one dongle to link slave BT device and PC,but the distance is only less than 1m.
The hardware is :PC<>FTDI's usb to uart <>DA14580.The antenna I use is a ceramic antenna.
The software refer to the host project of DSPS_3.150.2.
At the beginning,I think the antenna doesn't match, I set the dongle as a slave device ,then communicate to the phone ,the distance is more than 10m,so I can ensure the antenna is good.
Well,I think the code should be changed,but I do not know.
Besides,Is DA14580 suitable for dongle?
This bothes me two weeks.

You are trying to use the dongle as the host for the DSPS application ? I am not sure i understand what your problem is...can you give some more details about your setup and what you are trying to do?

If i undestand correctly, you are trying to make a custom usb dongle and your custom pcb with your custom antenna has limited range ? Have you advised the documents UM-B-018 and AN-B-027, also i remember i 've indicated the schematic for USB dongle based on the da14580. Has your antenna some gain for example +2db, what is your antenna, have you properly matched your antenna? If you are using a ceramic antenna you have to consult your antenna supplier for the matching circuit and layout.

The typical gain of ceramic antenna is 0 dbm. The peak value is 2 dbm.I use the dongle on PC. I set the dongle master mode,then link my slave device,I can't find my slave device when the distance over 0.8m. The datasheet shows it's no RF matching required,so I only place one line 0.5mm wide ,1.6mm long between the antenna and the RFIOp port.
Now I change my project and use TI's CC2540 for the dongle working on master mode.
