Hello again,
It's become urgent to find a solution, two week lost and nothing done for this project
I can't communicate with the module with android with BT 4.0, it only sometime found it name, and windows 7 with BT4.0 connect them, found GATT but no other service.
I try with sample SmartTag, I removed proximity, findme and SPI support. The project look work on the module.
The SDK is too complex to ensure the good work of the project and I have only one USB stick to ensure the work of the module.
I can't work on the android app because I know nothing about boot over the air with PAN1740.
I need to find what the problem with code, module or OS, and how I can use boot over the air with PAN1740 module.
Best regard,
Morgane Vallée
Hi Morgane, may I ask what you want to implement and what your product will be? We made a clean instruction to get familiar with the module here:http://pideu.panasonic.de/files/Documents/WM%20Documents/PAN1740/PAN1740...
Best regards, Ingo
Hi,
I worked with the last version of this document, it help me to understand many stuff, but :
- I have only one USB development platform, the over-one are my laptop or tablet with BT 4.0
- The version of EasyBLE I try don't support the PAN1740, it say "Chiron not found"
- Connection Manager can load the firmware but it can't boot any test (it Rx data about opening serial, them it stop on first Tx)
I can't find any free tool on windows or android that can connect and discover all information about a BLE device.
Now I work on reducing the size of the SmartTag project to the only components I need, to ensure the good working of the code.
For the beginning, the project consist of booting over the air (because PAN1740 don't have flash), use an ADC with timer and sleep, do some computing, and send/receive small RAW data between an android device.
The main goal of this project are to communicate with android devices and the power consumption.
Thanks,
Morgane Vallée
Hi Morgane, try the DSPS (Dialog Serial Port Service) example that you need to download to the module via boot sequence as described in the guide. For Android there is also DSPS app in the google store available. We have compiled the hex files, but your application code you need to change in Keil compiler and us the SDK. You can find the hex files here: pideu.panasonic.de/files/Documents/WM%20Documents/PAN1740/SPS%20Example%20HEX%20File%20for%20PAN1740ETU.zip
Best regards, Ingo
I progress !
I re-plug the module and it work better, maybe sometime I crash it.
I can see it and it profiles on android !
I understand, I can use connection manager to send hex file without debug mode of keil (I think debug mode was the origin of my problem).
I use Android app "Bluetooth LE scanner" to see information about device, nice app.
Good good good.
Now, can I have the source code of an android app with SUOTA, please ? it can be a good start-point for me.
Big thanks,
Morgane Vallée
Hello Aeris, I will send you an SLA for the SUOTA source code.
