There doesn't appear to be a reprogrammable flash version of the DA14531. Is that correct?
If so, what is your recommendation for the closest part to the DA14531 that would provide that functionality for development? DA14586?

All of our DA145xx products support the use of external SPI flash. In some cases, in order to reduce the amount of PCB area used, we have placed the SPI flash in the package with the DA145xx. For example, the DA14586 is the same BLE device as the DA14585, however we also put a SPI flash in the package.
There is not a version of the DA14531 that contains a SPI flash, however if you are concerned about board space the DA14531 is very small (especially in the CSP package - just 1.7 x 2.2mm) and external flash devices can be even smaller.
Alternatively, if you have the space available, it might be worth considering the DA14531 Module, just has everything you need including the flash memory.
