Timer is not accurate

Hello Dialog Team,

I am using the peripherals example and i am trying to create a timer that when fires toggles a GPIO, i am sniffing the GPIO with PICOSCOPE. I loaded "TIMER0_ON_REG" with a specific period, 1 sec for example, and when it fires and the GPIO toggles i observed that the period between starting and firing the timer is not equal the period i set previously in the register. Is there anything wrong i am doing or did i forget anything to do ?
