Hi
I have just bought the X-NUCLEO-LPM01A for power current measurement.
这5ies 1.8 to 3.3v as a power supply and provides a measure of the current draw down to a resolution of 100nA.
Is there a convenient place that I can attach the NUCLEO power supply so that it only supplies the 14695 + flash chi so that I can measure the current it is consuming and does not include the current for all the other chips on the board like the segger chip.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you in advance.

Hi mtailor,
I would recommend checking out theDA1469x Power Consumption Tutorialand section 3. Preparing the Tools and Hardware. Here you can find the possible ways to take power measurements for products of the DA1469x family using the Pro-DK.

Hi,
谢谢你回来。
I have had a look at the DA1469x Power Consumption tutorial and that will not help me as I have the USB kits.
On the USB kit, is it possible to isolate the power to the 14695 and then feed the appropriate voltage via a NUCLEO board which can then be used to monitor the current consumption profile with a resolution of 100nA.?
I am even prepared to cut tracks to facilitate that.
I used to work for a major BLE module manufacturer and we faciliated that using a jumper so that USB powers everything apart from the BLE chip and one could feed the 3.3v from something like the NUCLEO board (actually something that the chipset manufacturer sold for around $60)
Is the schematic of the USB kit available?
Look forward to hearing from you
Hi
I have seen Figure 5 in 'User Manual DA14695 USB Kit' and it seems supplying power from NUCLEO as if it is a battery will do the trick.
I just need confirmation that in that case VBUS pin of 14695 floating is ok.
Thank you in advance
Hi mtailor,
In the DA14695 product page you will find all the available documentation and HW collaterals.
//www.xmece.com/products/da14695-development-kit-usb
So, under “Schematic” section you will find theDA14695 USB Development Kit Schematic
Please also check 5.19 Power Selection Headers from theUM-B-103 User Manual: DA14695 USB Kit.
The default power configuration for DA14695 is from VBUS 5 V via power selection header J2.
Thanks, PM_Dialog
Thank you.
Had a look.
Can you confirm that if I supply power from VBAT pin then the current draw will be to the ble chip+serial flash only and not to any other circuitry like say the segger chip?
Look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you.
Hi mtailor,
So, if I understood correctly, you would like to measure the current consumption only for DA14695 + flash? This will power the while USB kit.
Thanks, PM_Dialog

Hi
Yes that is correct.
Kind regards
Hi mtailor,
This will power the whole kit. Did you try it in your side and there is a leakage?
Thanks, PM_Dialog
Hi
I have not tried it yet.
All I need is confirmation that if I supply power via battery then it will only power the BLE chip + necessary circuitry and will not feed the segger chip
Hi mtailor,
Apologies for the delay. By this way all the USB Kit will be powered.
Thanks, PM_Dialog
