SmartSnippets download on website is broken

SmartSnippets download on website is broken

Hello,

the download of the latest SmartSnippets Studio (2.0.12) is broken. There is only v1.6.3 available anymore. When I install this version I get an error, that my workspace was created with a newer version.

Can you please check your website?

Please take a look at the DA14583 product page and you will find the v2.0.12.1622 under “Development Tools”.

Can you please share a screenshot with the error? Are you able to download and install correctly the tool/ Additionally, what is the device that you are using? Is it the DA14583? What do you mean that the “latest SmartSnippets Studio (2.0.12) is broken”?

I am sorry, I selected the wrong chip at the beginning. I am talking about DA14683.

On the website of the DA14683 there is only the old 1.6.3 version available://www.xmece.com/products/connectivity/bluetooth-low...(see attached screenshot)

But the new SDKs were created with a newer version. Also I remember that some days ago there was the 2.0.12 available for this chip too. Can I just download the version from the DA14583 for now or is it different?

Thanks for the update. Let me change the device selection to DA1468x on your initial post. However, this vertsion is on purpose there, as we recommend the usage of the SmartSnippets Studio v1.6.3 when using the DA1468x product family, because this version is better compatible with SDK1.

can you clarify again, why the newer versions are not good to use with SDK1? Currently my team uses the 2.0.x version. Is it worth migrating to the older version and why?

I am working with three different companies across Europe on the DA1468x using both versions v2.0.10 and v2.0.12, we have not expereinced any issues.

Can you specify what the issues may be?

Also when was this recomendation put in place?

我的道歉为我已故的response. Support package shipped in the SDK1 is not fully compliant with SmartSnippets Studio 2.0.X. As a result, we believe the best user experience is achieved by using SmartSnippets 1.6.3. It is possible to use SmartSnippets 2.0.X with SDK1 at the expense of setup issues which the users will need to manually correct. As we are not performing testing, we cannot anticipate which range of issues will be experienced by the user.
