South Korea KC Certification

Hello,
We are using PAN170 BLE module based on DA14580.
We would like to do South Korea KC Certification for our product.
To do that we need to be able to control some aspects of BLE radio.
Is there any software (binary) available to have more control over BLE radio?
We would need:

  • define output power level
  • 100%的关税循环开放ration (i.e. continuous modulated carrier)
  • select channel
  • set worst-case duty cycle
  • set worst case frequency hopping
  • stop frequency hopping

Would you have any aditional hints for KC Certification?

Best Regards,
Michal Ratajski

Hi Michal,

Hi Michal,

Thanks for your question online. You could use the production test firmware and the RF master tool from the SmartSnippets toolbox. The production test firmware is located under 5.0.4\projects\target_apps\prod_test SDK path. Regarding the usage of RF Master, please read section 20 from the toolbox user manual. Below is the link:

http://lpccs-docs.dialog-semiconductor.com/SmartSnippetsToolbox5.0.8_UM/tools/RfMaster.html

If this does not meet your requirements, please let me know.

Thanks, PM_Dialog

We are able to interact with

We are able to interact with RF Master. We still need to test it with spectrum analyser, but it looks promising :-)

There is one thing we have not found - Is there a way to control RF output power?

Hi mratajski,

Hi mratajski,

Configuring the Tx power lever is possible only in our newest DA14531 SoC. According to DA14580 datasheet, the Tx output power is at 0dBm. In “Near Field Mode” output power is at -20 dBm. In case of DA14531, the output power is configurable between -19.5 dBm and +2.5 dBm.

Thanks, PM_Dialog
