cli_programmer and jlink 6.4 under linux

Hello

I am trying to use cli_programmer with
- Linux Ubuntu LTS 18.0.4
- Segger Jlink 6.4
- Dialog DA14683 USB Dev Kit
- SDK DA1468x_DA15xxx_SDK_1.0.14.1081

I end up with "cannot open gdb interface"

Please find attached jlink.log

Can you please indicate me
- supported version of these tools ?
- known bugs / workaround to have these tools working ?
- documentation to rebuild various required binaries ?

Thank you in advance

I found a working combination

I found a working combination

Jlink 6.34e GDB server under windows together with cli_programmer.exe launched without the qspi scripts.

This allows me to flash the usb dev kit.

The same under linux does not work.

嗨derekwright,

嗨derekwright,

Thanks for your question. Please find my comments below

  1. What is the version of SmartSnippets Studio (SSS) that you are using? I would recommend using version 1.6.3 - it is under tools section in DA1468x product page.
  2. Did you try to program the DK over UART instead of using JTAG?
  3. Turn the on-board SW6 to 3V position (VBAT)
  4. I would recommend also checking that JLINK is installed and is running properly in your enviroment. If you follow the installer and the SSS it should be OK.
  5. Then, make sure that any other JLINK instance is not running already
  6. Check that your account has the appropriate rights to execute the JLINK.
  7. Try to install the net-tools if it is not installed : sudo apt install net-tools

Generally, the user manual on our support website explain the procedure you should follow in order to install the SSS in Linux OS. Please take a look at section 1.2 inUM-B-057 SmartSnippets Studio User Manual.

Thanks, PM_Dialog
