Power consumption in sleep mode in DA14583 and DA14586

Hi Dialog Team,

We are currently using DA14583 for our application.
Our requirement is low power consumption with battery life of coin cell as approximate one year. We usually use the extended sleep mode in da14583 to save the power.

I wanted to understand the power consumption in sleep mode in DA14586 in comparison with DA14583.

If its lower than DA14583 then it can help us in two ways:
1) We can leverage BLE 5.0 support
2) We can save the power and extend the battery life

Appreciate the help.

Best regards,
Karan

Hi karanshah28,

Hi karanshah28,

DA14583 is consuming slightly less current in extended sleep mode, however DA14586 is a better solution if you want to target latest BLE SIG specification of 5.0 mandatory features.

Thanks, PM_DIalog

Hi karanshah28,

Hi karanshah28,

延长睡眠莫DA14580/3设备de have current consumption around ~1.35μA, and the DA14585/6 devices have around at 3.4μA without OTP copy. Although, as it has already been mentioned in the previous post, the DA14586 is a better solution if you want to target the latest BLE SIG specification of 5.0 mandatory features. The following documents-tutorials might be helpful for you query. Also, I would highly suggest you read the corresponding datasheets from our support page. Please follow the links below:
