In what what circumstance should I use the external 32KHz crystal. What will be the drawback to use the internal RC osc? Does it affect the current consumption?
If you have a connection interval larger than 2 Sec you have to use an external to maintain the timings. As the internal 32khz isn’t as precise as an external crystal the current consumption is slightly larger as the window will have to be widened.
So if i use Dialog Soc only for advertising purpose (no pairing & bonding)(no sleep modes) there is no need for 32Khz right ?will it consume more than the actual current consumption ? I have to use only 16 Mhz osc ?

This thread seems incomplete and not fully answered.
I am trying to fully understand the requirements for the external 32kHz crystal as it is optional, but the datasheet has limited information.
(1)外的数据表做参考l 32kHz is required for deep-sleep; can you verify/elaborate?
(2) The datasheet indicates more power draw with external 32kHz; can you verify?
(3) If the soc is being used as a beacon only (no connection, advertising only, sleep power critical) is it better to use internal RC for 32kHz clock?
Thanks,
John
