SDK for BLE5 and Mesh

Hi Dialog,

Is there a production ready SDK for implementing the BLE 5 features and BLE Mesh application on the DA14585. Also can you please tell if there is a specific silicon version of the DA14585 chip that is compatible to support the above mentioned features.

The mesh for the 585/586 is not released yet and is still under development, so there is not any available BLE Mesh application. Regarding your second question, there is not any specific silicon version of the DA14585 chip that is compatible with BLE Mesh.

Thank you for the reply. What about BLE5 features, specifically Long range(at 125kbps) and advertisement extensions? If available, please mention which SDK to use. If not, will the 585 support these features at a later date?

These features are not currently supported from our latest SKD and we don’t know when they are going to be supported in our SKD. Regarding the long range, you are able to use range extender module. You can find it from our support site.

Thanks for the reply. So these BLE5 features are not supported in SDK. But Hardware wise, does the DA14585 SoC support(the physical layer for BLE5 has been modified to include 4 different data rates 2Mbps, 1Mbps, 512kbps and 125kbps.) these features?

Yes, the DA1455 as hardware supports these kind of data rates. Otherwise we would not have been qualified for BLE5. Please check DSPS application on DA14585 in which we send a max around 600 Mbps of data

Thanks for your question. Mesh is only supported on DA14682/683 product family.
