Gentleman,
is there a standard/preferred connection for DA9063 in circuit programming. When using the eval board the connection will have to be made by a special cable. I wonder what the interface is when using the programming kit "DA9061_2_3 ICP KIT" mentioned in app note AN-PM-080 "In-Circuit Programming of DA9061/2/3".
In other words: Is there a documentation for "DA9061_2_3 ICP KIT"
Best regards

Hello Rene,
When using the in-circuit programmer, the in-circuit programmer board interfaces with the In-circuit programmer software via USB. The application note AN-PM-080, has a block diagram showing the connections between the programmer board and the customer board, see Figure 4 and Figure 5 on page 11.
Kind regards,
Elliott Dexter
Hello Elliott,
we provide a board connector that we can hook up to the programmer board. Since we don't have such a board at hand right now, it is a bit difficult to come up with a useful solution (regarding cabling) for us.
Can you please provide a user manual/schematics for the programmer "232-18-A".
Best regards
-Rene
Hello Rene,
Just for some background, do you have a Dialog In-Circuit programmer? The In-Circuit programmer kit comes with a USB stick that contains the ICP collateral, which should contain the schematic you want.
Kind Regards,
Elliott Dexter
Hello Elliot,
my colleague tried to order a programmer kit. Unfortunately it seems to be a bit hard to get the kit at the moment. Maybe I have to come back to you regarding this.
Best regards

Hello Rene,
Have you tried ordering the ICP through Avnet?
https://www.avnet.com/shop/us/p/kits-and-tools/development-kits/dialog-semiconductor/da9061-2-3-icp-kit-3074457345632520669/

Hello Rene,
We uploaded the ICP collateral yesterday, under schematics:
https://support.dialog-semiconductor.com/pmic-audio/device/da9063?qt-pmic_device=2#qt-pmic_device
We are also interested to know why you are finding it difficult to order the ICP kit?
Kind Regards,
Elliott Dexter
Hello Elliot,
thanks for providing this valuable information for us. Why do we find it hard to order? Mainly because we don't get a confirmed delivery date from Avnet (my colleague placed an order in Switzerland). Personally I tried to order from the Avnet Link you provided. Problem here is that they want to quote first before I can place the order...
To summarize, we have prototypes boards mid January 2018. Until then we would need a programmer. So far no-one confirmed a delivery date for our order, which makes our planning complicated.
Can you confirm that there is distributor stock available and we just need to get our hands on it?
Best regards
-Rene
Hi Rene,
I have raised the issue that you have internally. What are you using to configure and test the DA9063, do you have a Eval board?
Kind Regards,
Elliott Dexter
Hello Elliott,
I was finally able to buy a programmer kit from Avnet USA.
Best regards

Hello Rene,
I’m glad you managed to get hold of an ICP, I sent your ordering information to Avnet but you they couldn’t find your order. I apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Kind regards,
Elliott Dexter
