I am planning to store 16MB (or 32MB) of data on my node. I would like to know if the DA14585 supports this amount of data in an external memory. It will suit perfectly on my solution. Can you help me on that? Another little thing, at the documentation of how using external memories with DA14585 you provide a supported list of memories. Is it mandatory or would I use another out off the list with the same features?

Your plan will work, but what is exactly your implementation plan? It's better to use the memories that are suggested (supported by flash programer), in case of another memory's usage, it's necessary to makethe changes to the code provided by the manufacturer's datasheet in flash programmer. Please check the flash programmer example in utilities folder of SDK especially the spi_flash.h file.
