Hi,
我想把一个新的定制设计调试header.
I found that there are two options:
Option 1 - Same as J3 in "Wearable Reference design".
In this option I will need to use Dialog Communication Interface Board (CIB).
It supports both UART and SWD.
Is the CIB can be purchased separately from the DA14681 Wearable Development Kit?
What are the advantages of this option over option 2?
Option 2 - Segger J-LINK 9-pin JTAG/SWD connector (already have J-LINK device in our lab).
The wiring of this connector is as follows:
1- Vref - connect to VDD1V8
2 - SWDIO connect via 33ohm to SWDIO
3 - GND
4 - SWCLK connect via 33ohm to SWCLK
5- GND
6 - SWO/TDO not required for SWD communication
8- TDI not required for SWD communication
10 - nRESET
Do I need to connect nRESET pin via inverter to RST pin of DA14681?
Must I connect/use the nReset pin?
Are there any limitation of using J-LINK over CIB?
Thanks
Itsikb
Hi itsikb,
Dialog recommends using the CIB board for programming custom designs, and you can purcahse it only along with the IoT (583 reference design) or the Wearable (680 reference design) regarding you 2nd option, the CIB board is just an MCU running the JLINK fw and also utilizes the UART of the MCU in order to be able to program the custom board via UART. Regarding the connections that you should make on the Jlink that you allread have, you can have a look at the UM-B-065 Bluetooth Smart Communication Interface Board, the document explains the functionallity of the CIB and mentions the proper connections between the CIB (Jlink) and the header (custom board). The reset function is not a necessity but its good to have.

Hello,
Where can I buy the Wearable kit ? I bought IoT sensor but I dont find the Wearable.
Thank you
Hi tektronic,
It will be available on Digikey soon, i will let you know as soon as i ve got a date on this.
Thanks MT_dialog
