DIS (Device ID Service) profile failed on Bluetooth PTS test - IEEE 11073-21601 Regulatory Certification Data List

Dear Dialogue Support,

关于蓝牙PTS - IEEE 11073 - 21601重新测试gulatory Certification Data List, I can see that in "sdk/ble_stack/profiles/dis/diss/diss.h" , that field has been set by the SDK profile code with 0 length. Using this default set up, it fails PTS test.

Is this field mandatory for passing the DIS profile?

Based on your experience, is DIS profile mandatory for passing the BLuetooth SIG certification? Is it possible to have a custom DIS profile which does not support all the DIS fields?

Thanks,
uta_lc

Hi uta_lc,

Hi uta_lc,

The DIS profile provided in the SDK is SIG qualified and you can check the DIS service specification on the SIG web site and check which of the fields are mandatory (essentially a device can have any collection of the DIS characteristics and still pass the PTS testing, but you will have to decalre which characteristic from the DISS service are supported), regarding if the profile is mandatory, no it is not mandatory, its a profile that you either support on your device or you dont, even if you dont support it, the device is going to be a qualified BLE device that just doesn't support the DISS service.
