I don't have access for reset pin in our application.
I tried power cycle on evaluation board by selecting VCC_3V in J13 and supply battery holder with clean power source that can be switch on and off without bouncing effect. However, this didn't work.
Do you have some idea how to try power cycle on the evaluation board?
Normally a FTDI cable delivers 2V to 3V voltage on Rx and Tx line. Before you power cycle DA14580, please make sure the high voltage is not applied on DA14580. Such a voltage can prevent the chip from booting sequence since power reset signal cannot be properly generated.
You would need a buffer or an interface board to enable UART communication just after VBAT is being supplied. If you could give me your email address, I can share the schematics and layout of the board with you.
Hi rofe,
yes, preferably the Reset is needed.
Else, a Power Cycle will put the device in Boot Sequence mode too.
But take care no bouncing takes place, if so it won't work.

Hi,
Yes, that schematics nad layout will be useful. Please send it torofe@wsi.nu

rofe
Hi WT_Dialog,
I needs the schematics also, please send with below emailxirong.lan@rayson.com
Thanks.
Hi Rayson,
You can find the interface board schematics in the document AN-B-020 End produt testing and programming guidelines p.23.
