Changing the device name

Changing the device name

I'm trying to do something as simple as changing the device name. The correct place appears to be in nvds.c where

.NVDS_TAG_DEVICE_NAME = "DA1458x"

I'm changing it to something with the same number of characters. But on my android phone (v4.4.2) the old name always shows up when scanning. What am I missing?

的力量g off the device (removing it from the USB port) and reconnecting it fixed this problem.

Thanks Marco... iOS has a similar issue : iOS keeps a record of devices that it has seen in the past and does not refresh the device name unless you turn Bluetooth off and on. The Android application BlueLoupe (available on Google Play) will reflect the correct name if you scan with that app w/o having to reset.. .. BR JE_Dialog
