J14 or J23 is the only way to quickly do this : here you can switch between two different battery sources, or the fixed power source that is 3V/1.5V depending upon jumper configuration.
The daughterboards ship configured as BUCK mode so you would also need to quickly modify those to BOOST mode if you were to pick 1.5V or single AAA cell input.
