提高模式配置细节

Hello Support,
Please confirm if the internal 32KHz can be used for boost mode configuration for extended sleep modes. The datasheet indicate it as mandatory but there are also Table 259 which shows measurement using internal RC?
Thank you.

Hi gurushen,

Hi gurushen,

You cant use the 580 in boost mode without an external XTAL32KHz as the datasheet indicates, you cant use the internal RC oscillators the RCX or the RC32, the XTAL32 is mandatory for boost mode and optional for buck mode.

Thanks MT_dialog

Thanks MT_dialog,

Thanks MT_dialog,
Can you explain why in Table 282, there is an entry for Boost configuration in deep sleep mode running with RC32K then? There are also no mention of 32khz being mandatory in the datasheet other than the reference schematic.
Thanks,
gurushen

Hi gurushen,

Hi gurushen,

The value on that table is just an indication of how much the power consumption would be when operating in boost mode with the RC32 but that oscillator isn't suitable for bluetooth. Even in buck mode (that dont require an XTAL32) the RCX crystal is used to produce the LP clock and not the RC32 since is very inaccurate for bluetooth low power timing.

Hello Support,

Hello Support,
I use the DA14580 WLCSP daughter board now. I search a lot about that DA14580 can work at 0.9V. How can I configure it to Boost mode? Does it need to change the hardware configuration? Thanks.

Hi Liang Yun Hao,

Hi Liang Yun Hao,

Yes, hardware changes are required in order to work in boost mode, please check the 580 datasheet, there is a schematic for setting the 580 in order to operate under Boost mode.

Thanks MT_dialog
